Client Background and Role Summary:

Our client is a top media/ broadcasting company in Malaysia. They are looking for a Senior Assistant Vice President, Procurement Sourcing Category Management (Technology).

Key Accountabilities:

Strategic Procurement

• Manage the End-to-End Strategic Procurement for designated category.
• Manage overall category sourcing program to deliver strategic value.
• Providing Risk Management for the procurement function to include risk assessment, management and mitigation plans.
• Work collaboratively with the Procurement function and stakeholders.
• Assist in the Transformation of the Strategic Procurement function.
• Assist in developing team talent and resilience.

Category Management

• Build and manage effective Stakeholder relationship including regular reviews on planning, progress and performance.
• Manage Category research, intelligence and insights into products, services, solutions and suppliers.
• Devising Category Strategies & Value Impact Plans based on spend analysis and business drivers.
• Prepare procurement inputs into annual budget cycle.

Sourcing Management

• Maintain accurate contracts database for all category contracts.
• Manage Category Sourcing Pipeline (existing & new requirements).
• Formulate Smart Sourcing Strategies incorporating Requirements, Right Sourcing, Demand Management, Target Outcomes and Go-to-Market.
• Execute sourcing activities and conduct commercial and contractual negotiations underpinned with effective negotiation strategies.
• Manage the Sourcing Outcome through smart, concise recommendations aligned to Sourcing Strategies and Target Outcome.
• Manage the overall Category Value Delivery program.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Support value delivery through lifecycle Contract Performance Management and Supplier Management alongside the Category & Sourcing Teams.

Team Management

• Develop and manage the procurement category team including setting targets and monitoring performance.
• Conducts meetings, prepares and presents reports, and provides information to identify purchasing requirements, establish business plans and performance objectives, and report performance against plan and business objectives.

Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement, and 5 years experience in managing a team.
• Able to share a proven track record in IT Procurement Strategy/ Strategic Sourcing, with its related measurable business impact.
• A leader that is able to inspire innovative mindset in the team by keeping abreast with latest trend in the market.
• Key skillsets: Strategic Sourcing (IT), Category Management , Risk Management, Key Supplier & Contract Management, Sourcing Management Process, Process Management.
