Company Background and Role Summary:
Our client is one of the top software and solutions organisation that delivers high-end quality and state-of-the art solutions to various global industries. They are looking for a CEO.
As a regional leader of an intelligent lifestyle digital platform, you will drive the development of the apps ecosystem. In this role, you’ll lead the Business Unit responsible for accelerating the success of their customers/partner ecosystem on the platform. You will own and lead an ambitious growth agenda for the Company’s apps business through a portfolio of strategic category and partner initiatives, define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans to drive positive outcomes for the Company and its group business(es). The role will require you to think strategically about emerging opportunities, challenges and complexity in the regional mobile apps and content ecosystem, and develop thoughtful insights, recommendations and action plans.
You will work cross-functionally to extend the solution to partners (within the group and outside) & improve their reach, retention and revenues; and work with sales, customer engagement relations, communications and legal teams to anticipate and address issues that may hinder this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead an ambitious growth agenda for apps business through strategic category and partner initiatives, define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans to drive positive outcomes for the Company and its partners/customers.
- Manage and grow a team of Partnership Managers to accelerate app-centric businesses by helping partners/customers build and grow their business.
- Define and execute go-to-market plans for new business models and platform partnerships, track developments in the mobile ecosystem and provide actionable insights to shape product and commercial big bets, advocate for strategic partner needs to product, policy, global partnerships, and engineering leadership teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, etc) to drive regional strategy, develop and execute plans to boost the local apps ecosystem, focusing on catalogue quality, new pipeline creation, international growth and product innovation.
- To Create an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Operational management of all business departments.
- Develop business prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
- Ensure the company is staffed with well-trained, quality, and engaged employees at all times; works closely with the executive management team to develop effective hiring, training, and compensation plans to retain their quality talent; and leads and mentors staff, engaging and empowering them to be successful in serving customers.
- Oversee financial performance and risk profile while ensuring that all of regulatory obligations are met; manages the design and implementation of new products and services; and oversees brand development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
- Represent company at important business functions, community events, industry training and events, and networking opportunities.
- Ensure quality metrics are achieved through sound business processes following regulatory agency guidelines.
- Focus on consensus building efforts and strategic planning.
- Ensure the timely submission of month-end financial and operational reviews, contributes to the development of and participation in corporate-wide strategic planning efforts.
- Monitor company performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Increase revenues and income before inter-company allocations and implement operating cost controls in the areas of staffing, supplies, purchased services, etc.
- Communicate circumstances and events of operations to officers, managers and other appropriate people to keep all apprised.
- Effectively manage contract negotiations and statutory compliance.
- Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications
- Relevant work experience in the areas of mobile apps, digital content, mobile distribution channels, banking, e-commerce or other mobile-focused businesses.
- Experience in sourcing, managing and negotiating with partners, especially in the SEA region.
- Experience in establishing and growing C-level relationships.
Preferred qualifications
- Experienced people leader, with deep expertise in the SEA mobile ecosystem, fluency with mobile app-focused business models, value-chains and competitive landscape.
- In-depth experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (Product Management, Legal, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
- Excellent product sensibility, with capability to advocate and drive key product innovations or opportunities with the developer community.
- Ability to influence, cross-functionally and externally, thriving in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
- Strategic thinker; able to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent and advocate complex business and/or technical concepts.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of management experience including extensive experience running an app centric or digital lifestyle business.
- In-depth understanding of the industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning management.
- Strategic leadership ability.
