Client Background & Role Summary:

Our client is a reputable telecommunication provider in Malaysia, with a variety of communication products, applications and value-added services. They are looking for a Trade Activation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts and themes for trade partner engagement and sales ground activation (SGA) for regional execution. Ownership of event 3+3 calendar at HQ level. Required to work closely with Regional Channel Marketing team and GTM in delivering execution excellence.
  • Drive strategic direction for youth segment programs via campus partnership to drive:-
    • Development of campus strategy – reach and productivity.
    • Acquisition for the Company products.
    • Youth segment market share.
    • Strong internal stakeholder and partner engagement.
    • Develop relationship with key universities to enable long term partnership programs.
  • Support the Go To Market plans, programs, KPIs, and campaign management to drive :-
    • On ground activities to drive acquisition  for the Company products.
    • Activation efficiencies – cost, timelines and ROI.
    • Strong internal stakeholder and partner engagement.
    • Adoption of digital initiatives.
  • Maintain consistency and effectiveness of trade activation, via periodic review of on ground activities in terms of right messaging, event concepts updates, and careful monitoring.
  • Drive periodic review of trade activation performance and profitability, monitoring activation reach and productivity, and providing recommendations for changes in activation structure.
  • Manage Event Management Agencies (EO), in all event deliverable i.e. venues, rate cards, cost, design, engagement activities and awareness. Key evaluator for Event Organizer panels.
  • Oversee event A&P and accountable for meeting the financial forecasts. Manage all areas of event costs efficiency to ensure all activities are carried out effectively both operationally and financially within a specified budget requirement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Event Management.
  • Telco/IT/FMCG/Financial Services industry exposure.
  • Events and partnership management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of project management principles.
  • A constant risk management mind-set.
